On April 30, 2026, WCA hosted a pre World Cup discussion with leaders in business and sports on how soccer - the fastest growing sports economy - is being built, monetized, and experienced in the US. The event, which drew over 100 people from the Bay Area investment community, included two panels, one focused on the global investment landscape and the other focused on lessons from the women's game. Much gratitude to our sponsors Weil and Deloitte for helping to make this event a success.

Haley Carter, Washington Spirit President Soccer Operations (pictured first from left ) and Julie Uhrman, Angel City Co-Founder (pictured third from left) led the discussion focused on Lessons from the Women's Game along with Rosie White from the US Soccer Federation and Kang Women's Institute (not pictured here)
Jenni Luke, AYSO Executive Director (pictured center) participated in the global investment panel. The occasion was also used to announce a national partnership between AYSO and WCA to increase the number of trained female youth soccer coaches.
